WHAT OUR EPICOR NUTRITION ADVISOR IS SAYING

“As a nutritionist, I know the power of postbiotics when it comes to maintaining immunity. Even though I’m a healthy eater, I also feel that I do not consume enough fermented foods that contain those beneficial postbiotics. That’s why I take EpiCor every morning. It’s an easy way to support my immune system throughout the year.”

THE SCIENCE OF FERMENTATION

We know you care about how and why ingredients are made. So, you might find it interesting to know that producing food ingredients from fermentation isn’t new. In fact, it's a centuries-old technique.

Many mealtime favorites, including yogurt, aged cheese, pickles, chocolate, and coffee all depend on fermentation. One of the most common methods of fermentation uses yeast to transform simple sugars into some favorite foods and beverages including bread, cider, beer and wine… and when it comes to whole food fermentates, EpiCor.

CLINICALLY RESEARCHED

There are eight human clinical trials, seven preclinical trials, and a series of safety trials published on EpiCor. The human clinical trials on EpiCor show that it supports the immune system all year round but especially in the winter and spring, where the data shows it supports overall nasal health during high pollen count days. Human and preclinical studies suggest that EpiCor may help modulate the gut microbiota.

WHAT IS A POSTBIOTIC?

Postbiotics are the beneficial metabolites created by fermentation of live microorganisms like probiotics and yeast. Unlike probiotics, which are live bacteria that can be added to your gut, postbiotics are not alive and help support your existing gut microbiome. EpiCor fermentate is a postbiotic ingredient that has a unique fingerprint of metabolites and has been clinically shown to support your immune system and gut microbiota.

OUR ORIGIN: A REAL-LIFE DISCOVERY

It all began years ago at our factory in Iowa. Factory employees at our founding company’s manufacturing facility who were exposed daily to the fermented animal feed were not using much sick leave.

Why were the factory workers taking fewer sick days than their colleagues working in the office?  To find out, the company commissioned pilot studies comparing the factory workers to a similar group of office workers. And, those studies showed the fermented product had supported the immune health of the factory workers that were exposed.

After more years of clinical research to show the safety and efficacy of whole food fermentate for people, EpiCor was born! Today, people all around the world trust EpiCor fermentate to support their immune and gut health. Maybe it’s time for you to discover it for yourself!
